Jordan Brand & Dave White
Regular readers may remember that we initially wrote about Dave White's gold-tipped Jordan 1 release early last year; auctioned exclusively through eBay, the collaboration was limited to just 23 pairs, with proceeds going to the WINGS for the Future charitable program. Since then, there have been numerous rumours about a follow-up collaboration which would be made available to the masses... rumours which have finally become a reality.
Once again using White’s trademark paint splatter and brush stroke techniques, the Air Jordan 1 High DW this time features the iconic Jordan black/sport red-white colourway, and utilises elephant print on the forefoot lace strap. In addition to the sneakers, and to help commemorate the release, the pack also contains a T-shirt featuring White’s interpretation of the Jordan Wings logo, a design which is also featured on the shoe-box.
The Dave White Air Jordan 1 Retro will be available in North America, Europe and China on 11 February and, in celebration of the 2012 NBA All-Star week and WINGS for the Future, a second run will be released on 24 February. A portion of all proceeds will go towards the WINGS for the Future charitable program
