Ben Drury & Nike
Part of the inspired Nike Stadium project, Ground Control to London is a short film by designer and art director Ben Drury. An after-dark journey through the city, the film was based on a running experience with Run Dem Crew, the running club based at Nike’s 1948 store in London.
In the film Drury presents a visual interpretation of the relationship between the runner and the city, complete with a very fitting typographic representation of the runner’s inner-voice. After 11 km, and over 500 images condensed into two minutes of film, a final twist sees a Nike Lunar Eclipse+ making its mark on the surface of the moon.
Also shown below is a short interview about the film with Drury. It was shot at the London launch of Nike's From Moon to Lunar exhibition.
