New Balance & Crooked Tongues & House33
This truely one-off sneaker combines the classic silhouette of New Balance's M576 with an all over dynamic print from House33; the product and clothing label of type foundry House Industries. Although the shoe was actually created back in 2005, we still think it's one of the most unique sneaker/art crossovers - one that, until now, has been shrouded in mystery...
Back in 2005, Crooked Tongues had developed a close relationship with House Industries and, when the opportunity came about to visit the New Balance factory in Flimby, the CT team took with them a specially made premium leather embellished with an all-over House33 print. Out of that visit came this unique pair of sneakers which, in addition to the all-over pattern, also feature embroidered 'CT' and 'H.33' labels on each tongue.
The New Balance & Crooked Tongues & House33 collaboration is also featured in the upcoming book Sneakers: The Complete Limited Editions Guide, published by Thames & Hudson and released 17 February. Watch this space for our review on the book itself
