Prepare to be amazed by the seductive use of colour and texture in these three-dimensional artworks from UK-based artist Chris LaBrooy...
Interested in the intersection between typography, architecture, product design and visual art, LaBrooy has explored the ever evolving tool of CGI as a creative medium - subverting everyday objects into typographic and sculptural forms.
His personal projects include; Players & Posers, a sneaker-related experiment into colour, surface and intricate pattern making with yarns (shown top); and Adict, a project experimenting with 3D sneaker lettering. Alongside his personal works, LaBrooy has also been commissioned by the likes of Nike - including the air bubble-inspired lettering for Air Max Day, shown below. LaBrooy was also responsible for the much talked about Sneaker Tectonics project (shown bottom).
