Filfury & size? & Nike

Today sees the launch of the latest collaboration between size? and Nike - a two-shoe release including the classic Air Max 93 and Air Huarache running silhouettes (both sporting 90s-inspired teal/purple colourways). To help promote the launch of the shoes, size? worked with Amsterdam-based artist and graphic designer Filfury (aka Phil Robson) to create these very intriguing teaser images entitled Bringing Back the Once Extinct...

Originally hailing from Birmingham, UK, Robson’s creative influences stem from comic books, cartoons, action films, American culture, the NBA and the UK garage music scene. His work (which includes commercial advertising, motion design, interior and branding) seamlessly blends the disciplines of photography, graphic design, typography and fashion.

As demonstrated in this project with size?, it’s Robson’s sneaker-based ‘mash-up’ artworks that have found him most acclaim - using his skills to create various objects (including the likes of weapons, skulls and insects) by graphically dissecting his favourite sneakers. A small selection of Robson's other 'mash-up' work can also be seen below...
