Pointer & Lodown

Released today, the Crago Lodown is an art-based collaboration between Pointer and skateboard, surf, grafitti and popular culture magazine, Lodown...

Although not a collaboration with an artist as such, the shoe is heavily art-themed and features a bold marker-scribble motif. The graphic is a hark back to the days of pen and ink, the original tool of any graphic designer or illustrator, and an image of a pen is also used in conjunction with a hammer on the box of the shoes - the hammer again refering back to traditional techniques, although this time to that of the shoe-maker.

The shoe itself, a classic derby, has been stripped down to the bare essentials and is constructed from unlined premium leather with a sneaker-esque crepe outsole. Limited to just 250 pieces, the collaboration also includes a shoe bag and an additional lace flip. A Pointer & Lodown long sleeve shirt was also created to celebrate the launch of the shoe.

The Pointer & Lowdown Crago is available online now from both Pointer and Lodown
