The Art & Sole Cortez iD Project:      Matthew Nicholson Nike Cortez     Paper Sneaker Template

As you know, March this year saw the release of our very own collaboration with Nike and, as part of that project, we commissioned artist Matthew Nicholson to create this pair of Cortez sneakers using his excellent paper-craft skills. Since then, Nicholson has kindly agreed to share the instructions for creating the sneakers with us; offering our readers the chance to make their very own paper Cortez by simply downloading this (free) template…

Available to download for free here, the PDF document contains both the template itself, as well as instructions on how to put the shoe together. In seven simple stages, you can turn a flat sheet of paper into a Nike Cortez sneaker - in the colourway of your choice.

For the original project, Nicholson decided to make his sneakers from old Nike Cortez advertisements, but you, of course, can create yours in any colour you like. In fact, we’ll show the best of your paper creations in a future blog post special - just send images of your artwork to our submit@artandsoleblog.com email address and we'll do the rest...

Time to get out the paper, scissors and glue..!
